Research Chemist (multiple openings/work location Evansville, IN)
Develop, execute and monitor R & D plan; new product and process development; develop engineering data for marketing and manufacturing; identify new and alternative raw materials; effort at reducing cost in design, materials, operations and manufacture; standardize new products; troubleshoot root cause and failure mode analysis; maintain quality related documents and address quality audit; interact with sales department regarding new products development; consult with supplier on raw materials; perform technology transfer to production department; provide technical support for plant trials; and use Brookfield viscometers, penetrometer, FT?IR, TGA and DSC for testing adhesives and sealants.
Reqs. Bachelor's in Chemistry or its foreign educational equivalent plus 12 months experience in the job offered or 12 months experience in an alternate occupation as a Scientist or Research Chemist. Will accept any equally suitable combination of education, training and/or experience which would qualify an applicant to perform the duties of the job offered.
