Research Chemist (multiple openings)
Formulate and develop epoxy systems including resins and hardeners for different industries according to market requirements;
formulate and develop epoxy based vinyl ester products; prepare product submissions; test new supplies of raw materials;
consult with supplier on raw materials; maintain raw material specification files and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS);
provide technical support for plant trials; submit new gages to quality assurance for initiation of verification records; and ensure needs are represented during selection of significant characteristics and during product design and development.
Reqs. Master's in Chemistry or its foreign educational equivalent or its equivalent in education and experience plus 3 years experience in the job offered or 3 years experience in an alternate occupation as a Research Chemist, Technical Manager, QC Manager or Senior Chemist. Will accept a bachelor’s degree, or a foreign equivalent degree, followed by at least 5 years of progressive experience in the specialty, in lieu of the required education and experience.
Will also accept any equally suitable combination of education, training and/or experience which would qualify an applicant to perform the duties of the job offered.
